With hip-hop constantly aging and evolving, so many artists get boxed into sub-genres within the culture: mainstream rap, backpack, conscious, alternative, etc. Ken Neth aka KB consciously combines all styles to resonate a more universal message. Kenneth Brown was born on June 4, 1988, in Ocala, FL. KB was eight years old when his uncle introduced him to 2pac, OutKast, and A Tribe Called Quest, which later inspired him to pick up the microphone and inspire others in return.

Fascinated by the power of lyrical expression, Ken Neth made it his goal to uplift spirits by making his music more parallel to the people. The purpose of his creativity is to lighten the listeners’ soul while giving himself a platform to do what he pleases.

"I don’t have to be the richest person ever,” KB said. “As long as I can make a living [off] music being my job every day, then I feel like my life has been a success and I achieved what I ultimately set out to do.”

Around 16-years-old, Andre “SuCoo” Bryan decided to expand his passion for hip-hop and use the microphone to preach positivity through music. SuCoo was born on May 31st, 1989, in Bridgeport, Connecticut before relocating to Orlando, Florida where he resides. The 26 year old artist grew up on reggae and as well as the more conscious side of hip-hop. Rappers such as Lupe Fiasco, Common, Mos Def & Talib Kweli, Kanye West, Little Brother and Eminem influenced SuCoo to be a more thought-provoking as well as creative MC.

SuCoo’s Jamaican heritage plays a major part in his artistic process. The young artist will spit flows in his native accent as well as use elements of reggae that separate his music from the many.

John Q from All My Homies reached out to SuCoo after hearing his song and since then SuCoo has been down with the label. The “W.A.T.E.R.” rapper is currently working on his next album and paving the way for his message.

"My ultimate goal is to spread love to as many people and as many ears I can reach,” SuCoo said.

The Millennial's Troubadour

Orlando's Renaissance Man is more than a disc jockey, he's a sonic connoisseur that strikes on all platforms. His multiplicity knows no bounds and no binds. Dub, Ska, and Dancehall was the commencement, but just as every King needs a Queen, this music King found his Queen in Queens, New York. New York provided the other half of his musical marriage.

Growing up listening to sample and lyrical geniuses like Slick Rick, DJ Premier, Nas, and A Tribe Called Quest, Nzo learned that titles are just titles, and once the content is cracked open and dug a little deeper, many songs derive from all facets of cultures.

Venturing into a range of genres daily, DJ Nzo has sets that toy with Dubstep samples, EDM drops, and 80's acapellas. But that's just one branch of the mind of DJ Nzo. Constantly blending, pushing, and mixing songs from all over the world; as well as, all over the timeline, the possibilities are endless. Embracing all peoples and all peoples' music DJ Nzo's work is a blossoming flower that grows over walls, never allowing to be captured. Music is much too big to be categorized or caged, its purpose is to grow and accept, and that is exactly what one hears and feels when experiencing DJ Nzo.

Described as a “…true testament to the true power of hip-hop”, Wahid has made an impression on the genre and purveyors of the culture. Member of musical groups Cap 6 and, more recently, See You Soon, the Bronx born/Orlando native has earned respect by many for his talent and has garnered levels of acclaim from listeners and peers alike. As co-owner of the label/multimedia company, 1349 Enterprises, joshua exemplifies what it means to be an artist who takes control of his own career.

Influenced by artists like Nas, Jay-Z, Black Thought, and Ghostface Killah, joshua, and his music, has been referred to as a “…compelling hybrid of old and new” since introducing his “…left-of-center, lyrically driven style…” (DJ Booth). Revered by listeners of “…feel good hip-hop” (earmilk), Wahid has opened shows for Vince Staples, KRS One, Saba, Bas, and more, early in his career. joshua blends exceptional lyrics with a nostalgic style that masterfully coexists with the modern music of today.

“It is refreshing to hear this take on rap from a new artist during a time when most seem to follow trends. Each track on The Gawd seems to have been birthed from an authentic place and is very easy to relate [to].” – earmilk

Writing and rapping at the young age of twelve, Wahid, previously known as Joshua & Omega Crimson, has been recording and releasing music online since high school. Seven (EP), released on November 9th, 2018, marks Wahid’s first “official” release and has helped him amass a global audience. The momentum continued with the release of his 2019 single “Led”, and more music is set to follow in 2020.

Currently, Wahid continues to write and record; while simultaneously working to establish 1349 Enterprises as a legitimate entity in music and media. He, along with See You Soon, are set to release their first full length effort as a group in 2020.

Shamar alion logo].png

Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Shamar Alion moved to Ocala, Florida at the age of 15. Music had always been an integral part of his life since childhood, with roots singing in the church choir since he was 9 years old. It was after high school that his role as musician began to materialize as a career. At the time, Shamar Alion went by "Yodi Fresh," and paired up with his good friend Jamal Davis to form the group "Blind Perfection." During this time he also began to really find an identity in terms of who he was an aritst and how he approached music: "The name Blind Perfection came from my personal definition of music. Music can be perfect to you, but no matter how perfect it is, you still never see it."

After 4 years and a few tours throughout the state of Florida, Blind Perfection eventually dissolved due to creative differences in 2013. It was after this that Shamar re-aligned himself with his childhood friends from Ocala. They had moved to Orlando and formed an independent artist-run collective "All My Homies." Shamar also ditched the Yodi Fresh moniker and re-established his own identity as a solo artist. The name "Shamar Alion" incorporate the words "martian" and "alien" by design. "My name came from me feeling so alienated as a musician, as opposed to everyone else in the world isn't a creative. I feel so distant from people who can't comprehend my artistry, as if I'm from another planet."

Now established on this path, Shamar Alion plans to showcase his talents as both a rapper and a singer and looks to release a lot of new music in 2017. His goal is to reveal his talents to worth not just as a musician but as a creative, whether that extends to fashion, acting, or as a full-fledged entertainer.
